I have been in the automotive industry for 25 years. I have an ASE certificate and also a Chrysler/Jeep Factory certificate. I have always endorsed and recommended Bosch for Jeep parts, especially when it comes to fuel pumps. Other than that, they were the worst I've ever seen. I bought one of these to replace my original pump in my 1999 (21 year, 210,000 miles) XJ Sport just because of age. But after replacement the new pump didn't hold pressure and let fuel flow back into the tank in the parking lot (bad check valve). Replacement requested and pump #2 installed. Pump # held pressure for 1 day, after which it was back to the same condition. I have never heard or seen that 2 new Bosch pumps are bad. I decided to keep it until I could get replacement after replacement (3rd pump). Revain would not allow further replacements and offered a refund within 3-5 days of receiving my returned pump. That means getting the tank/pump out again, ordering pump no. 3, being without a car for a week and waiting for my money. In all of this, my #2 pump died in a traffic jam while it was 100 degrees outside here in Texas and I had to wait over an hour to be towed with no air conditioning because my Jeep wouldn't start. Needless to say I'm a bit upset and it was very stressful. Pump #3 and all pumps in the future will be purchased from more reliable sources with better return policies. The best buy in this whole scenario was my AAA membership!
