Attached to my boat on a smooth plastic surface. Wipe the surface with alcohol before installation. The bracket fell off after about a month. The adhesive strips just weren't good enough to hold the remote control. I removed the original double sided tape and used a 3M double lock to reattach it. I have never had a double lock failure on my boat and have been using it for many years now. It's available here on Revain. If you buy one of these, you need to factor the $20 double lock reel cost into the cost of connecting this device.
