We installed these in our 5th wheel camper that we are living in. I needed a desk for work that I could fold down when not in use. These definitely work and withstand the weight of my laptop, two large Dell monitors, my Yeti Rambler, and my hands/arms resting on the desk.My only issue is that you have to have these lined up perfectly when installed. The part that folds in and out wiggles a little from side to side. So if you screw in the table top (or whatever you are using it for) and the folding arm is even slightly moved to one side or the other, these will not fold all the way down because the folding arm will rub the part of the bracket that is attached to the wall. It's hard to explain, but it's a pain to get it aligned properly.
