For use with my 17lb Definitive Mythos 10 center channel speaker, these brackets are too flexible, causing the speaker to bend the brackets and point down. I had to add extra metal brackets behind the speaker to make it face forward. Another problem is that the slit size used for the curved section is smaller than the slit size used for the straight section. In my setup, the best orientation of the brackets would be the curved side up and the straight side down. However, since the curved part has narrower slots, the thicker TV mounting screws used to attach the wall bracket cannot be used. It's not clear why Kanto chose to make the curved slots narrower, but it seems pretty arbitrary. naturally disruptive installation options.
