For those who don't know how carpet cleaning works, I'll summarize. This is a pre-spray that sits for 10-15 minutes and is then removed with a carpet cleaner. However, dogs and the like can chew on the fibers of the carpet and reduce its color. This is not a dye that restores color to the carpet, it simply breaks the dirt's chemical bonds and weakens its adhesion to the fibers, which can be easily removed. No wonder!
