Review on Ramelson Compass Caliper Professional Machinists by Andrew Webster

The compass looks solid and is easy to assemble. The pivot drags when fully open. The hinge doesn't seem to be easily adjustable, so I'd rather it be too tight than have play. The real kicker was the little brass pen/pencil stand on mine, it was drilled very crooked so kind of useless. I'll see if they can send me a replacement for this part or just send the tool back. If not, I'll probably just build one myself out of a small steel tube and weld it on. But for the price it should be good out of the box.
