The bag worked flawlessly for a very long day as we covered 900 miles. I would recommend rolling up the extra straps when you're done loading and tape them to the tightened part of the straps to keep them from blowing in the wind. I could see it doing damage. My only complaints really would be that 1) the instructions were poorly done and 2) I wasn't sure how to attach the 7th and 8th straps. And 3) The cargo bag and its carrying bag are similar to snow chains and its carrying bag. Once removed, they don't come back. You can hear noise from the straps even if they are taped in place. Double-check to make sure they're still safe, but in any case, you should double-check your download every time you pause. It didn't rain on our trip, so I can't rate the water resistance. However, it has withstood constant wind gusts of over 80 km/h.
