I wish if the description said the inside diameter was 8mm it would be 8mm closed or open. Its inner diameter is almost closed at 8 mm. I like them but wanted them to hang further from my ears. I think they're a good size for kids ears unless you're looking for a tiny pair. Also good for nose, 2nd or 3rd ear piercing, cartilage, tragus, etc. The hoop earrings are made of high-quality silver! Not the cheap dark sterling silver I used to get in Revain jewelry. I'm sending them back and will order a pair of 12mm and 14mm to try. I just hope the new pair is of the same quality as this one.
