for training my ferrets. Most clickers make a very loud metallic noise, which comes in handy when training a larger animal and/or in a room where there are a lot of other noises. But I was afraid that a small animal in the quiet of my office would startle or distract my girls. So I gave this clicker a try because other reviews described it as quieter and made out of plastic rather than metal. And thankfully, it fits my needs perfectly! It's definitely loud enough to be heard, but not so loud as to be intimidating. I also don't have to worry about clicking when the clicker is near my ferrets' ears because I know it won't be loud enough to make them click. My training is going very well and this tool plays an important role. If you want a very loud clicker, you should definitely look elsewhere. But if you're training in a quiet area and/or have an animal that can get scared easily, this should work!
