I've been looking for a good chopping board for three months. I read user ratings and comments. Considered by many to be the best, Boos has angered some reviewers. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and be disappointed with a mediocre product. I came across this board which is a solid piece of hardwood. At a great price. Read the reviews and decided to go. I'm so glad I did because this product exceeded my expectations. This is the right size for my workspace. Nice and durable, but I bought an anti-slip mat for it anyway. It says it comes with a mat but I don't have one. I don't mind the extra cost because the price was more than right. It was fantastic to use for my prep. Although I can use it to cut meat as well as vegetables. I only use it for turning veggies and the reverse side for meat. To do this, I use Oxo cutting boards and Farberware thin boards to move meat around the work area. Cleaning and maintenance of this board are no problem. I'll be using 13 Chefs Food Grade Mineral Wood Treatment Oil once a month, otherwise a quick rinse with soap and water erases any daily use. All you have to do is rub it well and let it air dry overnight so it's ready to use the next day.
