I thought buying a branded lock for my new Dell laptop would solve any quality or installation issues I might have. I was completely wrong. Do yourself a huge favor, DO NOT BUY THIS. This lock comes with foam pads to fit the PC slot more firmly. I've used all four, the lock still went in very casually - and after locking it I was able to easily tilt the lock to the side and pull it out with almost no effort. TOTALLY USELESS! Someone could just check the lock, barely move it, and it would just fall out. I'm a mechanic by trade, so if there was a way to make this work - I'd probably figure it out - I scratched my head and wondered why they screwed up like that.
