Review on Adapter Couplers Conditioners Refrigeration Service by Tyler Fountas

Revainrating 1 out of 5

One was leaking, the other had a faulty valve, waste of time and money

Adapter #1 I pumped the system to check for leaks. There was a very, very small drop in pressure. I checked all my connections and they were good. I wanted to be sure, so I let it sit overnight to see if the pressure dropped. It fell 5 pounds per square inch overnight. I spent another hour trying to find a leak in my system. I finally found a leak in this adapter. There were no leaks at any of the connections between the air conditioner and the hose. It was leaking because they attached a small adapter to the tube. Adapter #2. The Schrader valve on the second adapter was defective. It was pushed in, which prevented the hose from pushing it in. The system seemed to be holding a vacuum, but it was just a hose. I released a subpoena into the system that wasn't clean. I figured out the problem where the pressure didn't rise when I dropped the charge. It took me some time to find out the reason. I took out the schrader valve and found that there was no gasket between the valve and the side of the adapter port. (The seal for the valve is at the tip.) There was debris at the end of the valve tip that probably fouled the system. Obviously they don't have a quality assurance department. The poor quality of their product cost me a lot of time and money. This provider should not be allowed access to Revain.
