They are a great replacement if the cable that came with your original headphones breaks but you still have the same faulty weak connector as your phone. These are not durable at all. If I get another pair as a third set of cables, they stay at home, don't stuff in my pocket, and aren't used on the go. With a 3.5mm headphone jack that old, you'd think it would have improved so much over time that almost nothing would break, and that's not the case with these cables.
