Review on 🌑️ Highly Accurate Extech IR267 Mini Infrared Thermometer with Type K for Precision Temperature Measurement by Robert Hines

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A reliable, sturdy thermometer - a little more sophisticated than this homeowner project requires.

Overall I am very pleased with the utility and design of this thermometer. I first used it in my basement, where the previous owner installed about half of the drywall needed for that area, and the other half is covered in a mix of planks and really awful wood(?) planking. With this thermometer, I can determine whether this room is insulated or not before removing the wall paneling. I also have an old thermometer and found it to be a bit stronger and more stable. I've also used it a few times for a meat thermometer. It's accurate enough for that (I used decoy), but you don't really need something that complicated to read meat temps. a real tool and I'm afraid we'll end up losing it, and b) I really wish the controls were a bit more intuitive. You definitely need to read the manual to understand how to use it, even at a basic level.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Minor issues
