I've recently started eating fried eggs for breakfast every day and they're perfect for salt and pepper in a small saucepan. I have bigger pepper mills but I bought them because the design is nice and a friend has a set and I've always admired them. too small. For my single egg, I used two dashes of salt and four peppers and had no problem picking it up with one hand and scooping it out. I'm deducting a star because I find the plastic base ugly and I don't use it. I also suspect the plastic on the dispensers will tarnish over time, although it's nice to be able to identify each grinder.
