I didn't dare to install it for a long time, but I'm sorry. The installation instructions went straight into the trash where they belong. Yes, you can connect directly to a backup light, but this light is not technically designed to support a camera. As a result, I routed 4 cables to the head unit. Connected direct power to the camera so I can turn it on while driving. Whenever I want (there was 1 extra power supply on the wiring harness), connected the reversing signal from the reversing light to the appropriate made wire on the main unit wiring harness, ground to the main unit wiring harness (there was 1 extra ground on the wiring harness) and finally video feed. The rear door handle was easy to install and the quality seems about the same as the OEM, but it's not a direct match to the OEM handle, but it's pretty damn close. The only thing I would like to see for others is that the manufacturer supplies all 4 wires long enough to reach the main unit. I had to provide a wire for the return signal and extend the power and ground to get to the main unit. In my opinion, this is a great product, but it lacks important information and materials.
