This is my convenient carrier for transporting cats to and from the vet. I saw these supports fall apart and the animal fall out. Each side clip/clasp has a slot through which you can thread a cable tie or cable tie. If you're worried about your pet getting lost in transit, I highly recommend threading a zip tie through the slot in each clasp. You can find instructions on how to do this on the assembly sheet that came with the kennel.
