I really believe that Adidas has replaced several other famous brands as my favorite shoe brand lately. Their unique style and comfort exceeded what I considered the standard for shoe comfort. Which for me is the most important factor when buying a pair. Ever since I discovered Adidas Boost technology I've wanted to buy a pair. I think they look cool but more importantly they are actually quite spongy when walking and create a very soft effect on your feet as you walk. Consequently, long walks become much easier for this old man's legs, which are getting injured more and more easily. Another wonderful by-product of official age, according to my kids. I used to be able to walk for miles and it had almost no effect on me. Now my legs can hurt after walking from the parking lot to Walmart and back. This is NOT what I expected when I was older. Certainly not what I wanted. I used to think my parents were just wimps when I was younger. Now I'm sure my own children feel the same way about me. Luckily these shoes helped a little. I'm not sure if the Climacool portion actually cools my feet more than any other shoe I own. Wearing socks affects how "cool" your feet feel. And no, I don't wear shoes without socks. My feet don't really smell when I'm not wearing socks. Then they sweat and well, if they could harness the power of the smell I produced, the world energy crisis would be completely averted. Trust me you don't need a sample. But other than that, when I change my socks regularly, I have surprisingly little to no odor, if any. But just through regular wear, I haven't discovered a real "cool" feeling while wearing them. For your information. The deal for me was I found my shoes brand new at my local national shoe chain for $39.99. have a few. By the way, has anyone else noticed that shoe sizes have simply changed in the last 10-15 years? I grew up a size 9 to 9.5 and sometimes a size 10 for most of my adult life. But in the past 10 years, none of these sizes have worked for me, regardless of the manufacturer. Now at least 10.5-12. It is strange. I see that the weight gain has made my foot wider, but not LONGER. I don't understand why every shoe company can't make shoes in a standard size that fits everyone. Anyone could negotiate standard size VHF tapes, CDs, DVDs, cassettes, albums and so on. I've never bought CDs and found they wouldn't fit in my stereo because they were the wrong size. However, shoe manufacturers in the same country have completely different sizes. I could wear a 10.5 for Nike, but Under Armor? 12.5 is easy. For Adidas 11.5. Can anyone explain to me? It's all so absurd. And makes buying shoes online a gamble to say the least. Okay, enough ranting. In a word, I love my shoes. Hats off to Adidas for kicking Nike out because of me.
