Review on Aries Standard Oval Nerf Mount Exterior Accessories at Running Boards & Steps by Christopher Theriault

I bought 2 of these kits, one for my truck and one for a friend, we have 6" oval struts on our 2002 Dodge 2500 mounted - well so we installed them in our workshop because the 4 bolts holding the brackets that go into the slotted holes in the truck bed were so badly welded that they broke with a wrench and had to be re-welded, the brackets for the actual nerf the bars are 3" too long resulting in the bars sticking out too far from the truck bed, we cut 3" the length of each bracket, welded them, patched them and now they look like this as they should. hard time, not sure if there is another alternative
