I do not recommend this product to anyone! I bought this extension so I can extend a USB-C port that I have in my computer. I also bought a VaVa 8 & 1 USB-C hub for my flash drives and flash cards, the hub sees and recognizes the flash drive but doesn't recognize any of my USB drives as one side of the hub doesn't recognize anything. I plug it both ways the same result. I was furious that the $40 hub I bought was defective but I pulled the computer out of my desk and plugged in the hub, guess what the defective part was, an extension cord not a hub. I would return the extension but throw away the box and the $12 part worth all the hassle not for me. I'm just passing on my experience and hopefully discouraging someone from purchasing this item.
