The loss in volume and precision is better than the unpleasant hum and buzz.

Well made, does what it promises. I have a 26 year old Mazda and when I charge an audio device connected to my car I hear a buzzing/spinning noise. When I received this in my mailbox, I immediately linked it to the journey home. That worked! I was stuck in traffic all the way home enjoying my free music. While at home I decided to find out if the lack of volume was noticeable in my own ear. My results were disappointing. The perceptible volume loss almost corresponded to the "volume" of the hum at its maximum. I would stay if you had an iPhone connected, it was about 1 or 2 presses of the volume down button; or 10-20% subjective. That means it probably won't get loud enough to drive my car on the freeway. So I gifted it to my friend who has a full stereo in her car with all the power she could ever need, but she's also having the same problem. However, I've ordered another one of these for when I really need to charge my phone. So it's worth it; however, this results in a loss of volume and I have to say that I noticed that the music was less "full" even when I lowered the volume of the unfiltered test. As a result, not only volume is lost, but also saturation. Well, certainly better than BUUUUUZZZZZ WHIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRR! I will use it when I need to charge my phone and when not; I connect my phone to the auxiliary cable. Also, I have attached pictures of the device itself. It is held together with friction and hot glue. Not a very well made product. However, isolation transformers S (two) are used. So it's not a hippie product or some magical black box that you're buying, and it works because it makes you believe it works. It actually has the right components to fix ground loop problems (the main cause of the buzz). So they spent your $10 to get the device working properly and just glued it together with a plastic case and hot glue. They also have nice rubber grommets to keep the extra cable from chafing against the hard plastic case, GOOD! You paid $10, what else do you need? Transformers alone cost $10 (or more) at the radio store. And I have to admit that I had to disassemble the case, so it was done with dignity too. However, this is not enough to deter the curious!
