Review on Wardrobe Essential: NASKY Womens Classic Cropped Denim Jacket With Pockets by William Bradford

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The pockets open at the top, but it's otherwise a solid and lovely jacket

I needed a black jean jacket to go with some things that are too close a blue to my go-to blue jean jacket, so when this showed up I jumped at the chance. The stripes are a fun detail that really make this jacket stand out, and the sleeves are roomy enough to roll/fold up with ease (which I was going to do anyway, so the raw edge at the cuffs wasn't an issue for me.) The cropped length is perfect for my short-waisted 5'2" self, it ends up looking normal length on me where it would look cropped on a taller person, so definitely compare the length measurements with a jacket you already own if that's a fit concern for you. The weird thing about this jacket is that while the pockets are patch pockets that could easily have been sewn along the top edge, they are instead sewn on the side seams, leaving them open at the top. They'd be very secure if you put something in them, but they'll also look like you've strapped buckets to your bustline. As that's not the look I'm going for, I sewed them shut at the top and then opened the side seams and re-sewed them to keep the finished edge intact, and now this jacket is basically perfect for me. The buttons are domed, with an antiqued brass finish, a vaguely crest-y looking design embossed on them, and are securely riveted in place. SIze-wise, I sized up from the size chart, and I really didn't need to - but I'd rather have a jean jacket be oversized than too small, so I'm completely fine with it and it gives me room to layer. I honestly almost feel bad giving this 4 rather than 5 stars given how much I like it, but I DID have to get the sewing machine out to get here, so I feel like 4 is a fair rating.

Pros
  • The cropped sleeves of the jacket showcase any bracelets or watches you may be wearing, making it a great accent piece to any jewelry collection
Cons
  • The jacket may not be suitable for all body types, often making it look awkward or unflattering
