Bought this key and remote for a 2008 Impala Police Edition I bought at auction that had a key and remote. Dealers charged at least $70 just for the key with no remote. I carved a key at Home Depot and the tech didn't charge me for it as I brought my own key. Your experience may vary. It worked great. The only difference is that I had to scroll through the Park-Only functions to the "Relearn Remote" function in the instructions. I regret not having done this sooner! The instructions were pretty easy and I think my kid could do it. The beauty is that they guarantee the process will work if you use it in a compatible vehicle.
