Not hard at all: my feedback

I only had two little standard 6.5" x 10" windows in the top part of the front door to obscure from the view of the 3-level houses they just built across the street. So my review is for those who would be doing a similar installation of pre-cut pieces, and not the case of finish cutting with a utility knife for perfect fitting, which the included instructions describe.- Measured windows,- transferred measurements to material,- cut accurately leaving 1/8" gaps on all 4 sides for water to escape,- checked cuttings by placing material on windows,- prepared spray bottle with soapy water (maybe 5 drops of dish detergent to 1 1/2 cups of water),- worked at a corner of the material to separate the clear backing a little,- sprayed the window generously,- removed the clear backing completely and put the side that was against the backing towards the window.- Squeegeed out the few bubbles. Because there was so much soapy water, it was possible to reposition the material a little as needed. There were just a few large bubbles on each window to squeegee off with a credit card. The measurement and cutting prep work took time and patience, but the application was much easier than applying a screen protector to a cell phone.
