Review on Enhance Children's Creativity and Problem-solving Skills with Pidoko Kids Wooden Building Blocks by Cory Owens

Don't fold! Miss the Mark

Bright, beautiful colors and fun shapes! I really want to love this collection but I'm sending it back - my 2.5 year old daughter builds towers and such so I wanted to give her a sturdy set of blocks. I love that it's real wood (compared to some others that are made out of wood and may not hold up as well) and I love that they have a cone shape which some other sets don't. Unfortunately, the defects made me send them back. Other reviews are correct in saying they are quite small. I didn't think it would be a problem but it turned out to be! Their size and glossy finish make them incredibly difficult to stack. I tested them on my daughter to see what she thinks and she keeps getting frustrated and throwing them because her tower collapses once she gets over four blocks. I disagree with the reviews regarding the choking hazard - maybe if your child/baby REALLY tries, they'll get a cone in their mouth? Or a smaller round piece? It really wouldn't be my main concern. But the whole purpose of having blocks seems to be defeated because of their size and execution. She has more fun playing with the bags and the box they came in!
