My daughter needed a black jacket (no logo) for synchronized skating lessons. She is 3.5 years old and we chose solid black especially baby size. she just won't come by, haha). Since I wanted her to wear this for a while I ordered XS (size 5) not 4T. He was perfect for her. The arms were a bit longer but designed that way, with a thumb hole (which she thought was funny). The length is about half of her rear end, a good length for not lifting her up and exposing her back. puts on a tie (or animal fur) like a fleece jacket. It also seems a bit better for the summer, as we often go to and leave the rink with our jacket on. I would happily buy it again in the next size up (I'm glad I ordered the XS as the 4T would have been too small).
