I use this for taking pictures of waterfalls. My gear is moderately heavy: a Sony A99ii body with a premium lens (a Sigma 12-24mm f4.5-5.6 DG HSM II or a Sigma 35mm f1.4 DG HSM ART). I need to get the camera close to the ground to capture the pool and rocks in the foreground; so I minimum height matters, but maximum height doesn't. Stability, on the other hand, is critical for long exposures. Because I end up hiking a mile or two to get to the waterfall, having a small, lightweight tripod is helpful. This tripod hits all of the marks for me: small and light, easy to set up, great support, plenty of load capacity, and low minimum height.
