Review on ๐Ÿ”‹ Efficient 12V Opus Tester Analyzer Battery Charger: Black, the Perfect Power Solution by Chris Quinto

The best charger I've used so far. But an odd recurring observation.

After my La Cross BC-700 expired after years of hard use including falls I can't count, I set out to find a replacement. Used almost exclusively on AA Eneloops for flash photography with occasional occasional AAA use. In a typical week, I charge a set of 16 AA batteries two or three times a week, so it gets a lot more use than the average household. quickly understand how to operate the device after reading the instructions. This gives a little more time after the battery is installed to set the charge mode and speed than the La Cross, which is nice. Even with a high charge rate of 1000, the batteries get warm but not hot. I have charged hundreds of batteries and "refreshed" many of them and the unit has not failed, overheated or failed on any of the batteries. I really like it, it's easy to use, the display is easy to see and it's become a workhorse. Now for this observation. I bought new eneloops and immediately "refreshed" as usual and found that slots #1 and #4 showed the exact same charge level of 2044 after completing the process. I wasn't really paying attention, but when I started using the device I noticed a pattern where slots #1 and #4 almost always show the same charge no matter which eneloop battery was inserted in update mode. Now I think it's possible that Nikon's flash quality control is so good that they always drain the batteries the same way, and that Sanyo's QC is also so well controlled that each battery also holds the exact same amount, but I can hardly do that I can always randomly put these batteries in slots #1 and #4 (someone smarter than me could calculate the probability of doing this) It's not always the same total, but #1 and #4 are right 95% same time or within the same number, say 2023 and 2024. the other 5%. Slots #2 and #3 work well with normal results, say 2114 in one and 2065 in the other. It doesn't seem to affect the performance of the flash batteries and I don't have the gear to see if it actually affects them, but there's something weird going on there!
