I bought this adapter because I read the manufacturer's FAQ and they said I should get 120hz over at 1080p - because of the bandwidth at 4k. I have an Asus VG248QG gaming monitor with HDMI 1.4 (doesn't give 1080p@120Hz - only 1080p@60Hz). But via a display adapter, my monitor can display 1080p at 166 Hz. I've tried connecting this HDMI to display adapter from my new Xbox Series X to the monitor's display port - to get 120Hz, but it doesn't work. Don't buy this if you're in the same situation - it won't work. I know for sure that this is not my DisplayPort cable as my laptop gives me 120Hz over DisplayPort. This adapter will not work for Xbox Series X > HDMI 2.1 > Monitor Display Adapter.
