True to size and strong!
I was afraid that the maximum opening indicated might be wrong, but for the price and the ease of return I took the risk. You are perfect. Very strong and durable, and they open up to fit 1.5" - I was able to clip the plastic cover over a table made of 2x6 boards (which are only 1.5" thick, of course).
