The Tinton Life folding mat is too thin.
This ironing mat does not provide adequate protection for the surface underneath. Steam and heat are quickly transferred to the underlying surface and can damage it. It would be helpful to have a backing on the mat that prevents heat and water transfer to protect these surfaces. I could use a towel folded in half and get the same results.
