After separating and cleaning this product there must have been some moisture between the two parts and when we started cleaning there was a lot of mold on it. this is after my kid eats food from it! Make sure to let it dry completely before putting it back together and check and clean it regularly! I would not recommend it as mold can easily grow on a product marketed as safe for children.
