Review on Walkie-talkie Baofeng UV-82 (2 power modes) by Ma En ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am very happy with this purchase, I will advise everyone!

The station can be considered as a replacement for the UV-5R: everything is almost the same and even at almost the same price, only a little better: the flashlight became a flashlight, and not an LED sticking out of the case, the volume control received side protection (body tide) and more - durable design, splash protection appeared, the case became a convenient anatomical shape, better communication, better speaker, better VOX, better microphone, power has grown, the antenna does not need to be thrown out, the range has been slightly expanded. Unfortunately, there are no special accessories yet (batteries, cases, etc.), of which there are a lot for the UV-5R, but I hope there will be, but for now we are buying additional batteries in the kit. For flaws in assembly, I take off one star from "workmanship", but for the combination of features and price - five stars in general. Yes: the "version" 89/82L is exactly the same, only more expensive (marketing!). There is a UV-8 option - without a screen and a numeric keypad. The Pofung brand is the same BaoFeng. Akk is not 3000 mAh, as on a battery, but 1800, as here in . The original Nagoya-771 is not completely screwed - you have to put the washer. ated. There is no splash protection, only a rubber band on the battery, around the contact. And that's it, and the body itself flows through the cracks. Alas. I recently promoted it . But this does not negate the other advantages, and the walkie-talkie is not positioned as an "off-road vehicle".

Pros
  • Splashproof, very comfortable body shape and balancing even with long rods, double PTT key (for transmitting and switching between two channels), full numeric keypad, two-line display, usable antenna included (didn't notice a difference in the 400-MHz range from 771 -th Nagoya, it's a pity that it is not sold separately), quite flexible settings, ease of firmware and availability of headsets and wires for firmware with a K-plug ("kenwood"), CHIRP support, good power and sensitivity, good voice quality, good speaker volume. Decent quality plastic. Dual band. If we take "at home", then there is practically no alternative balance of characteristics and cost.
Cons
  • There may be few channels. Someday there will be an alternative battery / battery box / cigarette lighter power supply or cases (the platform is already used by different manufacturers and widely), but so far there is nothing like that. Uncomfortable grip when the "clothespin" is attached, the absence of an eyelet on the case for a cord, an inconvenient headset jack cap (it sticks out with the headset inserted). Channel scanning speed is low. Certain build defects. Check! The fixing rings under the antenna / volume control may not tighten, the volume control itself may not work well.
