After a long search and trial and error, I decided on these shoes. And I've been very happy so far. I've always been happy with heavy leather shoes. I've worn them for hiking for about 12 years. The durability was just great. But you don't get any younger, knee surgeries and stuff like that. The Salewa are very light, the rubber sole is great. You just have to be careful on wet wood. If the shoes last a few years, I'll be completely thrilled. But I would still buy them again.
