Forgot my usual pirate boots, and needed a quick, cheap, appropriate style. These for fine. The soles are very thin so they don't show, but thick enough to protect feet. No buckles or zippers, just a longggg laced to tie at ankle. Which is perfect. I walked in them for over 8 hours on grassy area and my feet were happy.I really recommend these if you are not a regular faire goer, but want something that'll fit in fairly well and not break the bank.The plastic looks leather enough, but a bit to "polished/finished" for ren faire, so scrubbed with a bit of sand paper, and a little spray paint for aging.
