Forgot my usual pirate boots, and needed a quick, cheap, appropriate style. These for fine. The soles are very thin so they don't show, but thick enough to protect feet. No buckles or zippers, just a longggg laced to tie at ankle. Which is perfect. I purchased these for my son to use for RenFair. The boots are nice quality and good looking, but they are very narrow and not for those with wide feet.

Nice shoes, great for ren faire costume. Not to the level of the really nice $200+ leather boots, but great for the price.

These turned out to be really cool! Authentic to footwear of the Dark and Middle Ages. They seem well-made and the material looks pretty darn good for faux: comfy (I went 1/2 size up to use an insole, recommended.) No animals needed to die for a costume in this case, and that’s a great thing! I haven’t had a chance to really wear them for long periods of time, and so we’ll see how durable they end up being. Ordered these for an upcoming Ren Faire. Boots are well constructed, very comfortable, and the style is perfect for that medieval look.

Usually a 10.5 but ordered 11 and there perfect.Sure there cheap but so is the price. I didn't expect more than what I got. Plus they make the feel of my outfit more complete. Comfortable, and seems to be made well. Very suitable for occasional costuming, even for longer wear (yes, insoles will make them more comfortable). A bit lacking in detail for the price, since these cost as much as many normal pairs of shoes. However, that lack of detail also makes them quite versatile. They could work for anything medieval, Renaissance, fantasy, Viking, and lots more.

I bought these for a stage adaptation of THE LION IN WINTER. It took me a bit to et the shoes on , but they are quite comfy (an insert is needed due to the lack of a heel for support , but that's easily picked up ). They are quite comfortable and fully functional. Haven't tried for fight scene blocking yet but I think with proper care , they will be safe in use. Recommended.

The shoes feel great and look just like a medieval peasant's footwear. They work very well with the costume I bought at a Renaissance Fair. The soles are just fabric, be careful where you step!
