Not exactly for 1 1/2 " plaster wall.

Required to install 1/4 lag screws for the tie rod I haven't found a reliable one with my 1 1/2" setting that didn't work on plastered walls Get reading. Ok, I tested that with an old-fashioned nail test. Although it can work with drywall.
