It doesn't look super strong but it's surprisingly good. I don't know how it will hold up in the long run. Other options I've considered are 1) remove all the tiles on the wall just to remove the old holder, 2) add another holder to the wall and have two? 3) Leave the toilet paper on the tub or toilet until it is small enough to fit in the holder. I'm not sure who buys small toilet paper rolls, but we use Costco's Kirkland toilet paper, and I don't even think it's very big, but it doesn't fit in the holder until half is gone. This holder allows us to use the reel immediately. It's not the most aesthetic thing, but it looks a lot better than leaving a roll on the toilet or in the bathroom. We have been living in the house for about 3 years and since we moved in, this problem has haunted me. Eventually I decided to google it and yes there was a solution. Why didn't I think of that sooner?
