After purchasing a Dell Inspiron 620 with a new 2nd Gen Intel i5 processor, I wanted to make the most of the system memory with as much RAM as possible. The maximum capacity of this system is 8GB, so right after ordering the system I also ordered 8GB of Kingston HyperX RAM. They're a killer royal blue color, which is ideal if you're building a system and have a transparent case or a case with blue LEDs inside. The blue LEDs bounce off of it, almost making the sticks glow. They were easy to install. Tight but not too tight. The system recognized them immediately without having to configure the BIOS to recognize new hardware. Just turned on the system (Windows 7) and it worked right away. If you want to find out what type of RAM your system needs (size, pins, etc.), visit the Crucial website. There is a simple tool that will scan your system and tell you exactly what RAM your system needs and can run. Alternatively, you can simply enter the make and model of the computer and this information will be displayed to you as well. This is a great way to verify that the type of memory you are purchasing is right for your system.
