Review on ๐Ÿงช HM Digital TDS-4: Portable TDS Tester with Precision Measurement and Wide Range Accuracy by Zack Frazier

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A good $20 TDS meter - don't expect perfection/repeatable accuracy for $500 and you'll be happy!

These gauges are good for what they are and for the price. For $20 and then when combined with a calibration solution (342 NaCl) this can be a fairly accurate and reliable gauge. spend more money on a better counter. You will find that these TDS-4s have very little variation, and often more than +/- 2% as advertised. You can get slightly different readings in the same solution if you try the same thing. That does NOT mean it's a bad meter - for the price, it does the job well. A few things to help you get good readings: - Turn your meter off and on before each test. It's a bit more tedious, but it helps with accuracy. The instructions say the same thing, and there's a reason for that. When changing measurement solutions/water sources (e.g. from tap water to reverse osmosis water, etc.), turn off the instrument and shake gently to remove any water trapped in the tip. When you immerse the meter in water, an air bubble sometimes remains in the tip. Gently slide the tip around to release the bubble or you will get distorted readings! -- If you drop the gauge, you'll probably need to recalibrate it! For the price I can recommend the device! Just don't expect $100 build quality and precision, that's not what this gauge is! Thank you for reading!
