My company car had some shopping cart marks. I used some wipe paste and a rag and removed the marks but this left a noticeable area around the mark. I hooked up the pads to a battery powered drill and got to work buffing out those rough spots. I worked with different pads of different softness and used different grit polishing pastes, starting with a coarse grit to a very fine grit. The whole job also took about 30 minutes, but the car looks great. I also have spacers for the random orbit buffer, this kit I'm reviewing works in a drill. That's good, but since this is a drill that spins in a circle, not a random orbit, you need to be careful to keep the pads flat on the surface. If you tilt the pads while rotating, the edges of the pad may mark due to the faster rotation, and at the edge the actual surface is smaller and could be a nick or groove if you don't hold it flat. Also, slower, lighter pressure works much better than faster, harder pressure. Take your time and it might turn out big.
