A knock sensor kept giving errors, so I decided that I would undertake their replacement. I figured while doing this that both the front and rear sensors should be replaced. The rear sensor was broken and when the old one was removed it became clear why it was badly rusted. They have been working great since installation. Buy a harness for her while you're at it. When I removed the intake I realized that as long as they are easily accessible it would be a good idea to swap out the camshaft position sensor and oil pressure sensor. I definitely recommend doing this. I'm not saying they can't be changed without removing the air intake, I just didn't want to try later.
