The lens seems very solid. And that first. I used it a few times until the three screws on the focus ring lost contact inside and I still can't focus anything. Even if I had tightened the screws myself, the distance/tic marks would not be accurate. It's not worth trying yourself, I paid for the product, but I didn't get my hands on it. I'm hoping the manufacturer can help me with a professional repair or warranty for a defective lens that wasn't properly manufactured. It was a great lens until it fell apart. 3 stars from me. I wish it would have survived my very light use! I am assuming it is machine tightened. It would be 5 stars if fitted and tightened properly! I recommend buying. Just tighten those 3 tiny pan head screws on the focus ring upon arrival and you're good to go. A few photos I took with this lens. First you see the screw hole. some very long shots near the water. Also a photo of my camera's lens with the screen and subject in view. I hope my photos and reviews will help you in your decision.
