Review on PetSafe CLKR RTL Clik R Trainer by Todd Calloway

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nicer clicker, softer sound

My dog found louder Karen Pryor type clickers and box clickers a bit intimidating so this one was great - it's a little quieter and I LOVE the finger loop. I don't know why they don't make other types of clickers with this. I used it to influence my dog's reaction (barking and jumping) to other dogs and to teach him tricks. I've heard a clicker is described as a "snapshot" of the behavior you want to reward. The reward reinforces the behavior and the click marks/captures the moment the behavior was performed, so you don't have to be a ninja to train effectively. 1 click = 1 treat in a row. In fact, I find the clicker most useful for marking and rewarding spontaneous/out-of-control behavior, e.g. B. when my dog lies down quietly or walks on the leash by itself. By clicking and rewarding when good behavior happens, it will happen more often and you don't have to keep giving orders :)

Pros
  • COMPACT DESIGN: The Clik-R pet trainer is ergonomic and easy to hold while dog training
Cons
  • So far so good
