I have a group of farm cats. They're semi feral but do appreciate the food and water we provide. Most are pretty stand offish, but occasionally one becomes an affectionate pet. To encourage affection I try to handfeed with impossible to ignore treats. I've tried lots of things but these work the best. With this years kittens they'll eat strips of these fillets out of my hand and even lick my fingers for the juice but none want to become our next affectionate pet - not even my favorite - Wooly Mammoth. Maybe next year.
