My job gives us Secret Service style headphone/mic cables, but I couldn't let the straight wire get caught on it even when it was plugged in. I bought it and am very satisfied. The coiled cord keeps the cord close to my body without snagging on things. This makes it a thousand times easier to turn off the radio for "Nature's Call". I haven't had any complaints from anyone about the clarity and I hear clearly. I use the earphone when there are guests around but I only gave it 4 stars because I don't use the end of the earphone, I use the one my job provided me which is much more convenient and it allows you enables your ear to hear with it.
