I use this with a cart and usually carry 250-350lb gear. get up normally. He feels strong. Because when booting, you press it against the stop, which is located on the curb. Getting off is a problem. The weight of the wagon wheels pushes the top edge right off the curb! I can't figure out how to get it not to move when I push the carriage onto the top "bump" (which has too much angle). I nearly ruined $5,000 worth of medical equipment, but luckily I managed to keep my balance after the ramp slid off the curb along with the cart and everything on it. I'm open to suggestions on how to secure it so it doesn't slip off! I wouldn't even consider using it for a wheelchair, there must be much better options out there for you (longer, wider and less camber at the top).
