I've read conflicting reviews on this product. The negative reviews revealed an unpleasant drawback - the suction cup does NOT work when you need to move it. I wasn't quite sure where to put it, so I tried several spots before removing the protective film. The problem is that it's almost impossible to keep it AND the phone where you want it. So I got it where I thought I wanted it and attached it. After a drive to work, I walked to my car (which was in the garage - NOT in the sun) and my hand was on the floorboard. So I figured I'd take the opportunity to put it in a better place - barely tacky. So I followed the manufacturer's advice to keep the base under running water. I waited for it to air dry and then it generally sticks. Following the instructions in the letter - - pressed down to remove the air and then pressed the lever to make it tight - - - fell immediately. By the way, I thoroughly cleaned the dashboard before proceeding with the whole process. Thrown in the trash out of frustration - - - had to return it for credit. Don't waste money. Pure garbage.
