Review on πŸ–₯️ Dell S2721D: Ultra Thin DisplayPort Certified QHD2560X1440P Monitor with 75Hz Refresh Rate, Built-In Speakers, and HD Clarity by Andrew Lesesne

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The monitor died after a few days of use.

I bought this monitor as a secondary display to match my more expensive Asus 1440p IPS monitor (VG27AQL1A) for work/gaming and it worked well for the first few days, colours, viewing angles and brightness were great with few issues. no backlight game. Then one morning I turned on my computer and this display was just a black screen. The backlight worked, but even the OSD didn't appear when I pressed the buttons. I've tried 3 different displayport cables and even HDMI and still no luck. My other monitor worked fine, so I thought maybe my graphics card's display port was broken, but that's not the case either. It's good that Revain has a great return policy but unfortunately when I bought the monitor it was $240 and if I wanted to buy it again now it would cost me $300. I couldn't even get a replacement for the same monitor. Unfortunately I'm back to a monitor now and looking again for a monitor with similar or better specs that won't break the bank.

Pros
  • Modern, elegant design with a subtle textured pattern on the back of the monitor has a unique look.
Cons
  • weak sentence
