Well, what can you do wrong with a footrest? It turns out there is room for improvement in this price range, but it assembles quickly and looks really good. The packaging was not suitable for the sender. The pouch was bent and the plate was bent but not wrinkled. A careful bend back gave me a baseplate that was flat enough to go forward and mount despite the flimsy compound. For the price, I wish the pre-drilled mounting holes were flared (concave) so the mounting screws could be more flush. In this configuration, you can feel the head of each screw after installation. The outer door appeared to be typical of a residential design, so these dimensions allowed for left-right and top-bottom mounting on the bottom panel of the door. There's no conflict with the threshold, but again, subtle enough that it wouldn't matter. Smooth surface, no visible flaws after the bracket takes out the last bend. The screws are colour-coordinated. Assuming real brass that won't rust in sun, rain, etc. Refrain from buying two more for the side and rear doors. I may need to search the market more.
